No New Posts Eeylops Owl Emporium

A dimly lit shop which, according to the sign, sells tawny, screech, barn, brown, and snowy owls. They also sell owl nuts, a favorite treat of many owls. Much unlike the Owelry at Hogwarts, however, the store is cleaned daily.

Flourish and Blotts

Florish and Blotts is a large wizarding bookshop filled with shelves stacked to the ceiling, Flourish & Blotts is the primary - and perhaps only - supplier of textbooks for Hogwarts, though of course that's far from all they sell. The shop holds occasional book-signings, and sells books via owl. In addition to books purchased in-store, they also take advance orders for books that are in high demand.

No New Posts The Leaky Cauldron

Built by Daisy Dodderidge around 1500 "to serve as a gateway between the non-wizarding world and Diagon Alley", the Leaky Cauldron has remained a famous and popular place for five hundred years. Located not in Diagon Alley proper but on the outside, on Charing Cross Road in the heart of London, the pub is "tiny" and "grubby-looking," sandwhiched between a book shop and a record shop where passing Muggles don't seem to be able to see it. The main room on the ground floor has a bar and quite a few tables, and down the narrow hall from here is a private parlor, also with a fireplace . From the ground floor, a handsome wooden staircase leads up to the many guest rooms. The rooms have brass numbers on the doors and contain comfortable beds, polished oak furniture, and a fireplace. From the windows, both Charing Cross Road (on the Muggle side) and Diagon Alley (on the wizarding side) can be heard.

No New Posts Madame Malkin's

Madam Malkin's Robes for all Occassions, though far from the only wizarding clothier around, Madam Malkin's seems to be the best, as it is the place where most Hogwarts students purchase their robes. Madam Malkin herself is a friendly, squat witch, though she seems a bit out of touch at times.

No New Posts Magical Menagerie

Founded over fifty years ago, the Magical Menagerie has provided the public with lovable pets. The store itself is just across the street from Gringotts. Inside the shop, it is hard to hear anything besides the sound of animals.

No New Posts Ollivander's Wand Shop

"Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C," Ollivander's is a narrow and shabby little shop with a window display consisting of a single wand resting on a faded purple cushion. Inside the walls are lined floor to ceiling with thousands of narrow boxes.

Board Information & Statistics

Board Description
Diagon Alley

Tapping just the right brick in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron in London ("Three up...two across...") will reveal an archway which is a portal into Diagon Alley, a long cobbled street where is to be found a strange and exciting assortment of shops and restaurants. It is unquestionably the hub of commerce in the British wizarding world, with virtually every wizarding business stationed there. Consequently, the demand for space here is steep, and rent costs loads of Galleons.
